This may be the last regular journal update, kinda funny considering my BFF just started doing regular journal updates because of me. This is partially because I'm running out of things to say; my art life is in a bit of a pothole right now, because everything I'm good at drawing I'm bored of, and everything else is so new I need more time to study it. I had a hard time thinking up something for another upcoming chalk festival. I settled on the idea of drawing a Jabberwock this morning while in the shower (my version), because I thought I might draw something dragon-ish, but a little different (this is my version of a Jabberwock; one of my favorite fantasy critters). I would draw an Alien, but I don't want to mess with copyright, and those things are a pain to draw since they're basically black only, so the shading and artwork has to be near perfect, else-wise they look weird. I'm also planning on taking a "Manga Drawing" class at the library. Not for the sake of learning to draw Manga; I lost the ability to do that years ago (not terribly sorry about it either, I don't like following "style" rules). I'm attending because it's mainly about the comic part of Manga, and since it's a long term dream of mine to run a web-comic, I thought I'd take a class on making comics to see once and for all whether I'm capable of creating a comic or not (I've tried before, but I always fail). I looked up the guy online, and his web-comic was pretty funny; I think I'll enjoy the class even if I'm incapable of making a decent comic.

I would tell you my comic idea, but I don't want any website snatchers stealing the name (assuming it's not already gone *crosses fingers*). If I make a decent one, I promise to upload it though.

My other reason for possibly quitting regular journal updates (not DA, I like it here just fine), is I'm starting up a sort of "Picture Blog" on Webkinz Insider. Basically, you take pictures of your Webkinz acting out a story you made up, then caption them when you post them. One of the people doing this actually had to close their first thread; it was so popular it got too many posts after a while, so they needed a fresh start (I'm guessing threads glitch if they get past 5k posts). So far, it's looking to be an insane amount of work on my end, and if this continues I doubt I'll have the energy for regular journal updates here. Hopefully you all understand. Although, if you really like reading my somewhat strange rambles, be sure and let me know, because it would make a big difference on whether I updates this thing regularly or not.

Ok, so mostly I do Photoshop art. If you only want a sketch, then a paper one would definitely be prettier. For anything else, I tend to use my own judgment since it's easier to fix proportions on a computer sketch. I might be able to ink traditionally, but I fail to see why anybody would want me to, since the cleaned up result would probably be the same as a computer version (or worse). Prices are average, and may go up or down depending on what you want.
